project 13: non-diegetic sound - abstract image sequence

For this exercise I've chosen a song by Marlango. You'll hear a trumpet, and no music. I'll say no more in here, but in the comments, as this is about the feelings that the music evokes on you, and the concordance with the images (or not).

  1. This piece of music makes me feel a cozy sadness, calm and quietness. While listening I was linking images in my head of a door that closes, trees moving with the wind, the business of the road, or a crowded street, and loneliness of the viewer from afar. Feet walking in the grass.
Later in the park I've been able to record some of these, and some new images that would evoke the same feelings.
I've intentionally left the movement in the images. I did take the tripod but decided not to use it. It seems to me that the images are closer, stronger, when you can feel somebody is behind the camera.

  2. It evoked a quiet sadness for me, as if something was coming to an end rather than beginning. The movement in the images is good.
